  12. Topographical Maps (raster to vector conversion) new nice DWF example
12.1. Electronical topographical map M1:500 in the DWG format (AutoCAD 2002). The map has 58 square decimeters paper size (little more than A0 format) and 145000 square meters on nature terrain. This map consists of the topographical convectional signs accepted in CIS countries (Commonwealth of Independent States). Each object in the map was placed on its layer. This topographical map will be used for site layout designing and 3D modelling. This map was digitized from 4 (four) raster files. The distortions in these raster files was previously transformed and corrected by Autodesk Raster Design 3 (the distortions incurred during scanning). Only after such type of corrections a raster could be used for professioanal raster to vector conversion in AutoCAD.
