2. 3D-Alma-Ata
|

2.1. 3D-model of the Alma-Ata city central part has been built from
the paper 2D-map of the city. You can see the 3D-terrain, 3D-streets
and three-dimensional existing buildings placed on the
three-dimensional terrain. This picture demonstrates the technology
of obtaining the 3D-models of urban building from 2D-maps
(scale M 1:500). On the lower picture you could see the 16-teen
topographic raster map images M 1:500 with digitalized points
(stations), contours (horizontals), roads, buildings and structural
terrain lines - slopes. On the top picture you could see the
automatically generated 3D-terrain model on the base of this
2D-map.

2.2. 3D-model of the Alma-Ata city central part has been built from
the paper 2D-map of the city. You can see the 3D-terrain, 3D-streets
and three-dimensional existing buildings placed on the
three-dimensional terrain. This picture had been rendered in the
3D Studio MAX.
